To the Entire Scouting Family in the Pee Dee Area Council,

 

As a Council, we are Silver in the month of June for the Journey to Excellence.

 

We had growth in membership as compared to last year, same month.

We have achieved our financial goals compared to last year, same month.

Training, Commissioner Service, Advancement and other areas continue to show improvement.

 

This means we are continuing to improve the Program that we deliver to our young people.

THANK YOU!

 

As always, there are areas that can improve. I want to challenge you to be part of that improvement.

 

The Volunteer Camping Committee, Camp Staff and the Order of the Arrow are putting together specific plans and financial request that will be presented to the Board to make improvements at your Boy Scout Camp, CAMP COKER. Become part of that effort.

 

The 2015-2016 Calendar is completed. Be part of the events that District and Council Volunteers are putting together for your youth.

 

Scouting, at the unit level, requires funding to be effective. Be part of the various fundraisers that put together for your boys, especially popcorn sales.

 

The Fall Membership Campaign is about to kickoff. Become an active part of that effort. Your Schools, your Packs, your Troops.

Your District Executive is FOCUSED on this effort. Membership matters because it represents lives that we are instilling the Values of Scouting into.

 

Training -

EVERY BOY DESERVES A TRAINED LEADER. EVERY LEADER GETS TRAINED.

Go on-line and complete Youth Protection Training, Every Adult registered in Scouting is required to be trained in Youth Protection. Just Do It.

 

Then, follow up that training with Leader Specific Training for your position. There are Leaders in every District that will set up Training for Your Leaders.

 

SPREAD THE WORD! Thank you SO MUCH for being part of the best Nationwide Program that builds Character in the Youth of America.
