One more thing about Merit Badges. If a scout doesn't finish a merit badge, he has got to he is 17 years and 364 days old to complete it. The blue card will show what requirements were completed. If some of the requirements were not done it should show what more he has to do. BSA doesn't say that he has to complete in a year or six months. He has until he is 17 years and 364 days old. A councilor can review other requirements to make sure the scout understands all that he needs. Many times a scout can complete between coming home from summer camp and the first few scout meeting in August or September. If a scout waits for a year or longer, he may have forgotten everything he had learned previously.
