| The Chicora District is hosting the Chicora District Merit Badge Collage on Saturday the 5th and 12th of December at the Surfside United Methodist Church in Surfside Beach, SC from 8 to 4:30.
Scouts from within the council are invited to attend.
The first Saturday the scout meets with the councilors for up to 4 classes. Councilors will spend 2 hours in each class with your child and give homework to be completed through the week.On the second Saturday they complete the requirements. Your scout will need to attend on both days.
The first document above tells you everything you need to know about the event. The second document registers the scout. The badges we plan to provide are listed. Just fill out the form and print one copy. The printed copy goes to council with the fee. Email a copy of the completed electronic form to Rick Curran <cmugrick@aol.com> or Robert Evans <robertevans@robertevansmb.com> so we can schedule your scout into his classes. Forms are also available on the facebook page.
On the form, the scout will enter up to 4 choices and an alternate. We will try to schedule at least 4 classes of his choice. You will be contacted shortly after you register your son with his schedule. In most cases we will fill classes with up to 15 students. So it is important to register early. Registration closes Nov 27.
Scouts need to bring a bag lunch. The Surfside United Methodist Church will have hot dogs and chips available at a reasonable price, during lunch, on both days just incase your scout gets hungry or forgets his bag lunch.
*** Any scout who leaves the church property during this event will be asked to call home to be picked up.
The instructors for this event are experienced adults in the topic they will be teaching. They use these skills in their occupation or hobbies.
