Habitat for Humanity opened up their Fall Application Cycle for the Habitat Homebuyer Program on November 1 and it will run through November 30.  We ask that you please forward this information on to any individuals who you think may benefit from our program or to any groups that could share with others. 

 

The attached Habitat for Humanity of Horry County cover letter and pre-application outlines the requirements for acceptance into the Homebuyer Program, details about the program, and instructions for the application process.  The Homebuyer Program is a 12-24 month program where families attend financial training classes, perform sweat equity hours, and work on the construction of their home and the homes of others. When their requirements are completed, they will purchase a simple, decent home that is affordable to them with an interest free mortgage. 

These families must be willing to put in the effort to budget, pay closing costs, participate, improve their credit, and volunteer.  If you know of anyone who you feel may be eligible, please pass along the attached letter and pre-application.
